WhatupHomee presents a Special Event Celebrating Black Scientists and Inventors

August 19 @ 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Virtual Class/Event Virtual Class/Event
Free

Join us on Thursday,  August 19th @3pm CST for our August special event to honor Black scientists and inventors.

We offer FREE monthly special events as opportunities to learn with one another and from one another as we seek to affirm the cultural contributions of Black people and celebrate the historical contributions of Black people year-round. These are two of WhatupHomee’s core values.

Our fun and engaging special events consist of two parts: an interactive educational activity and student presentations.

All homee(s) ages 7 and up are encouraged to select a Black scientist or inventor and prepare a short presentation to share.

They have the freedom to create Google slides, artwork, a poster board, dress up, or whatever they’d like to do to express themselves while sharing what they’ve learned.

There will also be an opportunity for children with science-related interests or hobbies like gardening, creating slime or cosmetics, etc. to share about that as well.

This event is open to the public so invite your family and friends but RSVP is required.

RSVP NOW to receive access!
