Funtastic Food Prep Baking Edition- Thanksgiving

This is a beginner’s course designed to introduce students to basic food

preparation concepts. Students will learn important basic cooking skills including

reading a recipe, measuring accurately, and food preparation concepts such as kitchen safety

and sanitation and proper use of kitchen tools/equipment. Basic food science principles will be introduced.

Students will participate in cooking labs and a variety of classroom activities.

For the final class, students will prepare holiday-themed cupcakes to be judged via

social media. Scores will be based on presentation and creativity.
